Massage

Massage is one of the oldest forms of natural healing. It is mostly used to relax tense muscles, invigorate the exhausted body and mind. Massage is useful for all stress-related issues, injury, chronic pain and long-term muscular conditions.

Relaxation Massage

Our relaxation technique is designed to soothe away tension calming your mind and body. This massage use slow rhythmic strokes that concentrate on easing the general effects of stress.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is the the most effective treatment for releasing deep seated muscular tension by realigning the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and connected areas such as stiff necks, lower back tightness and sore shoulders. Deep tissue massage can also focus on specific problems such as; Chronic pain, Limited mobility, Recovery from injuries, Repetitive strain injury, Postural problems & Muscle tension or spasm.

Remedial Massage

When muscles and tendons become damaged or impaired, knotted, tense, tight or immobile, our remedial massage technique is designed to stimulate the blood supply allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed, this enables the calming of the nervous system to ease pain and discomfort and the toning and relaxing of muscles to improve joint mobility.

The massage is applied directly to the skin using a lubricating medium which ensures that the muscles associated with the disorder and mobilisation of the joint are deeply penetrated. Passive stretching moves are also used. Specialised techniques are used to locate and repair damage and to support and speed up the body's own repair mechanisms.

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy is the use of of aromatic plant oils, including essential oils, for psychological and physical well being. Aromatherapists blend therapeutic essential oils, designed for each individual and suggest methods of use such as topical application, massage, inhalation or water immersion to stimulate the desired responses. The different smells (Aromas) and the chemical constituents of the oils can produce different emotional and physiological reactions.

Indian Head Massage

Concentrates on upper body tension. The technique used is quite firm and invigorating, providing balance and a deep effect on the whole body.

Chinese Cupping

This traditional Chinese treatment uses suction cups to relieve tight and sore muscles on the neck, shoulders and back. It aids blood circulation and removes excessive energy, (Heat and Cold). It can also be used to relieve or prevent the symptoms of a cold. (Not to be used at the onset of menstruation or extremely weak conditions).

Lomi Lomi Massage

A profound and unique healing massage derived from the ancient Polynesians and more specifically, the Master Healers of Hawai. This massage works deeply and gently into the muscles with continuous, flowing strokes, totally nurturing the body, enabling the recipient to relax, give in, and simply BE. Through Lomi Lomi, stress and tension are relieved, blood and lymph flow assisted, and the elimination of waste and toxins stimulated.

Oriental Massage

Uses a combination of western and eastern massage strokes to unblock the flow of energy along the body's energy channels. An energetic, oil-based massage designed to release tension and stress, bringing the body, mind, and emotions back into harmony and balance.

Shiatsu Massage

Relaxing full body massage for releasing pain and tension, done through loose clothing (Not supplied). Includes stretching, palming and acupressure points to harmonise and balance the body's natural energy flow. May include Chinese Cupping and moxa.

Lymphatic Drainage

The Lymphatic system is our front line of defence in fighting bodily infections, detoxifying the bodyand transporting metabolic wastes, excess water, bacteria and toxins out of the body. The lymph glands (Neck, armpits, groin etc) are connected by a broad network of of vessels which transplant the fluid. Muscular movements is required to move it, as there is no 'Heart' to pump it.

Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle whole body treatment that relaxes the nervous system and aids the body's immune system.

Hot Stone Massage

Our Hot Stone Massage is based on the method used by the ancient Hawaiian Kahunas, who used heated stones in many ways including massage.

After heating the stones, the practitioner will begin a co-ordinated sequence. Whilst placing some stones on the body, other stones will be used in a flow of massage techniques including, Swedish, Remedial, Shiatsu, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and chakra balancing.

There is no other treatment like it, the heat and properties of the stones encourage an accelerated healing process and a nurturing, but exhilarating experience.
